The Venezuelan ambassador to Chile, Carlos Millán, rejected this Monday the massive expulsion of Venezuelan migrants and asked the authorities of that country to respect the legal process of these citizens.
“We reject these expulsions. In Venezuela Human Rights are violated and the right to life of returnees is not guaranteed,” Millán said through a message posted on his official Twitter account.
The statement of the Venezuelan diplomat comes after the Minister of the Interior of Chile, Rodrigo Delgado, tried to justify the expulsion of Venezuelans by ensuring that “it is about 30 people who have been convicted.”
Finally, the diplomatic representative called on the Chilean authorities to evaluate them on a case-by-case basis.
