The Ambassador to Costa Rica, María Faría, met this Friday with the Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation, Antonia Calvo. Faría explained that the delegate from Europe expressed her support for the democratic movement that Venezuela is currently experiencing.
“A message of friendship, maximum respect for democracy and human rights, and collaboration with the actions we have developed with our international allies to draw attention to Venezuelans in the face of human rights violations,” said the ambassador through her social network accounts.
The Venezuelan ambassador also stressed that there is an excellent relationship between the EU and the government in charge of President Juan Guaidó. “That is why we express our willingness to promote a greater rapprochement, reaffirming the commitment to friendship and strategic partnership,” she added.
Farías thanked the EU for the sanctions imposed on Nicolás Maduro’s regime, which include 25 public officials.
