Ambassador to the United States Carlos Vecchio welcomed the new resolution of the Organization of American States (OAS) rejecting Maduro’s Supreme Court decisions as an attack on democracy.
Vecchio reported that the resolution condemns the fraudulent designation of the CNE and the assault on democratic political parties in Venezuela, such as Acción Democrática and Primero Justicia.
The diplomat said that Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship is alone and the region is backing a democratic transition.
“Nobody backs Maduro. No one recognizes a fraud. Everyone is pushing for a transition to democracy,” he said.
During the OAS session, the resolution rejecting the illegitimate decisions of the regime’s Supreme Court was approved with 21 votes in favor, 7 abstentions and 6 absent countries. The virtual session was held, along with delegations from Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia and the United States, to analyze “the recent decisions of the Supreme Court of Justice” of Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
La @OEA_oficial hoy,con 21 votos a favor y 0 en contra, condena la designación fraudulenta del CNE y el asalto a los partidos AD y PJ. Nadie defiende a Maduro . Nadie va a reconocer un fraude . Todos impulsan una transición a la democracia
