The Venezuelan Embassy to Canada regretted that on International Diabetes Day, patients with this condition in Venezuela do not receive the required treatments.
“In Venezuela, citizens do not have access to medicines or a balanced diet. In addition, they saw their social security (services) disappear in the hands of a criminal regime,” denounced the diplomatic delegation in a message broadcast through its official network accounts.
Furthermore, it ratified that the Legitimate Government articulates all the mechanisms to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and achieve the definitive recovery of democracy and institutions in the country.
Likewise, it recognized the immense contribution of Canada and its talent in the discovery of insulin. As well as its sustained effort for its prevention, treatment and research that has had global repercussions in health, healthcare and life.
