The Venezuelan ambassador to Colombia, Tomás Guanipa, condemned the fact that Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship is threatening Venezuelans with prison if they protest for having better conditions in the shelters where they are forced to spend the quarantine after returning to the country.
“Not only do they call bio-terrorists or biological weapons the nationals who decide to return to the country, now Freddy Bernal threatens Venezuelans who protest for better conditions in the shelters to pass the quarantine in jail,” said Guanipa through a message in his official Twitter account.
Furthermore, the Venezuelan diplomat assured that the regime continues to violate human rights by persecuting and repressing returning Venezuelans, while it opens its arms to the guerrilla and irregular groups, supports them and gives them every facility to remain in Venezuelan territory.
“That is treason to the country,” he ended.
