The Minister Counselor of the Venezuelan Embassy to the United States (U.S.), Gustavo Marcano, thanked the U.S. Department of State for delivering an autonomous radio program, which transmits reliable information on the Coronavirus pandemic to the Venezuelan indigenous communities in Brazil.
The radio program transmits the necessary information in the native language of the Warao community.
Marcano also explained on Wednesday that the Venezuelan indigenous communities “are especially vulnerable to the Covid-19, due to the forced displacement by the narco-regime.”
On Tuesday, the U.S. State Department announced that Venezuelan indigenous people in Brazil were using this method thanks to the U.N. Refugee Agency and the U.S. Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration.
