The Special Commissioner for Security and Intelligence, Ivan Simonovis, reported that he, along with Congressman Carlos Paparoni and a commission of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR), have worked on identifying individuals and companies that economically support Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
Simonovis explained that during the investigation they have jointly processed around 370 complaints from individuals, families or organizations that are within the United States, which are related, directly or indirectly, to the Venezuelan dictatorship.
The Commissioner also specified that out of these complaints, 53 cases have been filed and have been handed over to the respective authorities.
“The financial investigation units of several countries already have cases in process of individuals and companies that will eventually be sanctioned by each country,” he said Wednesday in an interview with VPITV channel.
Simonovis added that several of these cases have already resulted in the cancellation of visas, criminal proceedings and deportations.
