Ambassador to the United States Carlos Vecchio warned that Venezuela is the second least economically free country in the world, due to the destruction caused by Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship.
“The decline of the Venezuelan economy as a result of the dictatorship is catastrophic,” Vecchio said in reaction to the Heritage Foundation’s report, which blames the regime for the severe humanitarian crisis affecting the country.
In this regard, the Venezuelan diplomat replied, “Venezuela ranks 32nd in economic freedom among the 32 countries of the region, and its overall score is the second lowest in the world.”
Likewise, the report highlights the need to form a transitional government in Venezuela so that foreign investors regain confidence in investing in the country and thus begin the progressive improvement of the economy.
El declive de la economía venezolana, a consecuencia de la dictadura es catastrófico. Venezuela ocupa el puesto 32 en libertad económica entre los 32 países de la región, y su puntaje general es el segundo más bajo de todo el mundo. Venezuela Economy: https://t.co/uppU2nAd6y
