The ambassador to the United States, Carlos Vecchio, condemned Maduro’s dictatorship on Thursday for not allowing humanitarian flights from U.S. soil to enter the country.
“You know very well that FREE humanitarian flights from the United States were coordinated and you deny their entry to Venezuela because you use Venezuelans politically. So quit the show and open up the airspace for Venezuelans stranded in the U.S. and the world to return home,” Vecchio told the regime’s representative in a message posted on Twitter.
In this sense, the Venezuelan diplomat indicated that even self organized Venezuelans have made their own arrangements and you don’t answer them.
“During a pandemic you – the dictatorship – keep hundreds of brothers and sisters in exile, many with serious health conditions. This is not politics, it is humanity. Everyone has the right to return to Venezuela,” he added.
Vecchio urged the regime to allow commercial airlines to return their passengers.
“If you want to insist on banning humanitarian flights because of a political vendetta, then open up the airspace to commercial airlines now so that they can comply with their passengers and return them to Venezuela. They are all willing to comply with their users. You are the obstacle,” he ended.
