Brazilian Foreign Minister Carlos França reiterated his support for the Venezuelan democratic forces led by Interim President Juan Guaidó, during a working lunch with the Ambassador to Brazil, María Teresa Belandria.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of Foreign Relations, Ambassador Fernando Simas Magalhães; Deputy Bia Kicis, President of the Commission of Constitution, Justice and Citizenship of the Chamber of Deputies; Deputy Carla Zambelli, President of the Environment Commission; Aline Sleutjes, President of the Committee on Agriculture and Livestock, and Dr. Rodrigo Mudrovitsch, candidate justice for the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
For her part, Ambassador María Teresa Belandria thanked the Brazilian authorities for the support offered to the fight for freedom in Venezuela.
Likewise, she thanked the policy adopted by President Bolsonaro’s government on welcoming Venezuelan migrants and refugees through the social program ‘Operação Acolhida’.
