The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Colombia, Carlos Holmes, reiterated the strongest support of his government to the National Assembly of Venezuela, dominated by the opposition, against the “illegitimate and tyrannical regime” represented by Nicolás Maduro.
This statement was issued after the Maduro’s TSJ (Supreme Court) approved the divesture of parliamentary immunity of the deputies Juan Pablo García, José Guerra and Juan Pablo Guanipa. The ruling was ratified by the illegal National Constituent Assembly, which also approved the installation of a commission to study the call for early parliamentary elections.
Likewise, Holmes Trujillo rejected the arbitrary persecutions of the illegitimate and tyrannical regime of Maduro against the members of the Venezuelan Parliament and indicated that Colombia does not agree to the advancement of elections.

With the ruling issued by Maduro’s TSJ, the number of deputies persecuted after the military uprising registered on April 30 at the Altamira distributor in Caracas increases to 18.
