The Commissioner of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the crisis of Venezuelan Migrants and Refugees, David Smolansky, highlighted the magnitude of the impact of the massive exodus of Venezuelans after the humanitarian crisis generated by Maduro’s dictatorship.
“The migration crisis is so monumental that, if one takes into account those who could vote abroad, it is equivalent to almost half of those who participated yesterday throughout the country,” Mr. Smolansky said in a message released through social networks.
This fact implies, in other words, that the largest state in Venezuela, is unfortunately outside the country.
With more than 6 million migrants and refugees, the Venezuelan migration crisis is the second largest in the world.
It is also expected that the crisis will continue to worsen while Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship continues to usurp state functions.
