The Ecuadorian Deputy, Juan Fernando Flores assured that he will be the guarantor of the regularization and defense of the Venezuelans who were forced to migrate to Ecuador as a result of the Venezuelan dictatorship. He pointed out that he has always defended this issue and that he will continue to fight for this to become a fact in the democratic government of the President-Elect, Guillermo Lasso.
“We have been working for years to alleviate the suffering of the Venezuelan brothers who were forced to leave their country as a result of a dictatorship. We have always defended this issue and the struggle of years will soon materialize. We know what Venezuelans have had to go through, that is why we will continue to help them,” said the Assemblyman for Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa after the press conference with international media in which he accompanied President Lasso.
The Defender of Human Rights, supported the statements of the newly elected President, “as a representative of Ecuadorian migrants abroad, our task must be to defend our people, but also to give a hand to those who have been displaced by a regime that wrecked Venezuela.” He also urged Venezuelans to enter Ecuador legally to facilitate the migration process.
President-Elect Lasso reported that a United Nations forum will be held on June 17th where countries around the world will join forces around human mobility, for which he will request funding to integrate displaced Venezuelans into the economic life of Ecuador.
