The political leader, Leopoldo López, spoke about the serious denunciation made by Amnesty International where they indicate that at least 14 of the deaths in La Vega between February 6th and 9th were extrajudicial executions carried out by the FAES.
“The La Vega massacre is another example of extrajudicial executions by the FAES, the extermination body of the dictatorship,” López declared in his personal Twitter account.
The political leader recalled that this would not be an isolated complaint since other reports from human rights organizations as well as that of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights pointed to the FAES as the security body responsible for extrajudicial murders in Venezuela.
“The UN report identified them as responsible for 69% of the murders committed in the documented years,” he said.
It is important to note that Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship uses the policy of repression and social control to stay in power and silence those who do not agree with its ideals, all of which causes a massive systematic violation of human rights in the country.
Finally, López took the opportunity to send a message to Maduro’s extermination groups, those who carry out his atrocities.
“Remember that in crimes against humanity responsibilities are also individual,” he said.
