The first vice president of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, affirmed that the humanitarian crisis is not only about the dictatorship’s corruption, but that it is also a political model of the regime to subdue the Venezuelans.

“This is not only inefficiency, this is not only corruption, it is an ideological movement of some men, who have no conscience, no sanity, and who have made the decision to subdue a people as they are trying to do with the Venezuelan people,” Guanipa said in a message posted on his Twitter account.

The deputy said that under these conditions, “protest is a right that people have to express their discontent caused by the abuses and wrongs of the regime.”

“The origin of the protest is the right of the people to manifest their annoyance, their rage, to say ‘I don’t like this’ and the reasons are those you know, electricity, gasoline, gas, we are living a true calamity, organized, directed, by the dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro,” added the deputy.

In the last few days, hundreds of protests have been registered all over Venezuela, in which thousands of Venezuelans have decided to take to the streets, due to the severe failures in basic services such as electricity, water, gas or gasoline.
