Vice-President of the European Parliament: “We will continue to recognize Guaidó as President until democratic elections are held”

The vice president of the European Parliament, Dita Charanzová, reiterated this Wednesday her recognition of Juan Guaidó as president in charge of Venezuela and of the National Assembly elected in 2015 that he presides.

Charanzová urged all international organizations to ignore and repudiate the fraud with which Maduro and his accomplices intend to take over Parliament.

“The international community must reject the electoral farce and usurpation of the power of Maduro’s regime,” she asserted.

Finally, the European official reiterated that “until democratic elections are held, we will continue to recognize Juan Guaidó as legitimate President and the constitutional continuity of the National Assembly voted in 2015.”
