The Foreign Affairs Committee informed through a spokesperson that Ambassador Winston Flores will leave his functions as head of the diplomatic headquarters in that country, since he will assume a new responsibility regarding Venezuela’s reincorporation into the Andean Community (CAN).
The decision was discussed and agreed upon by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Legitimate Government and the Bolivian Foreign Ministry. The diplomatic mission will remain under the command of the Chargé d’Affaires.
The President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, thanked and recognized the work of Winston Flores as Venezuela’s diplomatic representative in Bolivia and reiterated the importance of his new responsibility in the CAN.
The Legitimate Government reaffirmed its support to the Constitutional Government of Bolivia, under the interim presidency of Jeanine Áñez and thanked her for her support in the struggle for freedom and democracy in Venezuela and informed that it will soon announce the new appointment (for ambassador).
