In Venezuela there is no possibility of justice being done, the only real possibility is for the International Criminal Court to comply with the mandate established by the Rome Statute, to formally open the cause of Venezuela and to prosecute the crimes against humanity committed by Nicolás Maduro’s regime.

In Venezuela, it is not possible to go to justice courts because there is no rule of law, nor the possibility of doing justice in the country, which is why international human rights organizations, such as the UN and the International Criminal Court, have been contacted to counter the constant and systematic violations of human rights, which include now crimes against humanity.

Deputies of thr Legitimate National Assembly reject political disqualification by the dictatorship and reiterate their commitment to Venezuelans

This was reiterated by the Miranda State Deputy of the legitimate National Assembly, Delsa Solórzano, at a press conference where she stressed that in Venezuela it is impossible to get justice, so international justice has to operate through the International Criminal Court.

“The Venezuelan regime has not accepted that they constantly exert persecution, political pressure, torture, forced disappearances. On the contrary, through a hired gun Tarek William Saab, it tries to demonstrate before the International Criminal Court that it is possible to get justice in Venezuela and therefore, that the ICC does not have to act, but that the direct prosecution of some of the material actors in the country is enough.”

She emphatically denied that justice is being done in Venezuela, “In Venezuela there is no justice, nor is there any possibility of getting it,” because the Maduro regime and his collaborators have kidnapped the country’s institutions, including the administration of justice.

The deputy assured that what the regime is trying to circumvent and bypass the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, pointing out that there are some material perpetrators who are in prison, such as the case of Fernando Albán, when the truth is that the chain of command that orders crimes against humanity is going unpunished.

“We are against impunity, since extremely serious crimes against humanity have been perpetrated in our country, it is necessary that the International Criminal Court continue with the investigations and that the proceedings be opened for trial because, because in our country there is no possibility to get justice.”

The deputy informed that all the evidence has already been sent to the ICC showing the lack of justice and the crimes against humanity that have been committed in Venezuela by Nicolás Maduro’s regime, and statements by hundreds of victims show the impossibility that those responsible for serious crimes against humanity can be prosecuted in the country.

Solórzano sees with amazement that Mr. Nicolás Maduro will go to the UN Human Rights Council, trying to wipe his face to try to prevent international bodies such as the ICC from acting in the case of Venezuela.

“This should shame you, they should ask you about the great crimes against humanity that are committed in our country. I repeat Mr. Nicolás Maduro, as evidenced by the report of the UN Fact Finding Mission, is directly responsible for several of the crimes against humanity that are committed in the country.

Finally, Mrs. Solórzano said that she hopes that Maduro’s intervention will be an opportunity for him to be examined on the crimes that are committed in Venezuela where he and his collaborators are responsible.
