The deputy of the National Assembly (AN), María Hernández, denounced that the explosion of the gas cylinder truck, in Caño de Los Becerros, Piar Municipality in Monagas State, is a consequence of the humanitarian crisis caused by Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
“Two gas cylinders exploded in a truck packed with people demanding gas. The explosion left more than 30 people injured. This accident is a consequence of the dictatorship,”said the parliamentarian through her personal Twitter account.
Hernández explained that the citizens who were burned, out of desperation, threw themselves into the sewage water to put out the fire. She also reported that among the injured there are children.
“More than 150 cylinders exploded,” she added.
Likewise, the deputy said that due to the lack of ambulances in the area, all the injured could not be treated quickly. She explained that some victims are in the Manuel Nuñez Hospital and others are in the Piar clinic.
