Answering the call of the interim president, Juan Guaidó, the people of Monagas State paid tribute this Thursday to the healthcare personnel who continue to fight in the battle against the COVID-19 in the midst of the humanitarian emergency that the country is experiencing.
“All our recognition goes to our healthcare heroes who are on the front line, risking their lives to help Venezuelans in this battle against the coronavirus.” said Jose Antonio Mendoza, a representative of the National Assembly, from the Dr. Manuel Nunez Tovar University Hospital in Maturin.
With a minute of silence, they reminded the medical workers that have lost their lives because of the pandemic. In particular, the Monaguenses raised their prayers for the eternal rest of Doctors Luz Duque, Juan Osuna, Bedan Valera and Argenis Sierra.
The legislator ratified, on behalf of the Parliament, the support to the health professionals and their commitment to continue fighting for the working conditions and the necessary guarantees to carry out their profession.
“In Monagas we will attend to more than 900 health workers with the Heroes of Health bonus. Our heroes are counting on their deputies to continue fighting for their rights,” he emphasized.
