The Deputy to the National Assembly, Olivia Lozano, urged that the international community take new actions to end authoritarian dictatorships such as Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
“The progressive deterioration of Citizen Rights and human rights by Havana’s regime are a reflection of the anti-democratic formula applied by the allied regimes of Venezuela and Nicaragua,” Lozano said in a message posted through her Twitter account.
The legislator pointed out that the free world must seek formulas to end so great arbitrariness.
Furthermore, the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Dita Charanzová, revealed that the efforts made in recent years by the European Union have not been effective in establishing the path towards democracy in Cuba.
Charanzová pointed out that in the last 4 years the number of political prisoners has increased, there is no dialogue on human rights and the quality of life of Cubans has not improved.
“Cuba is not fulfilling its obligations, it is making a mockery of the agreements. We have to defend our values and this means, as a last resort, suspending the Cuban agreement,” she concluded.
