This weekend, the deputy to the National Assembly for the state of Miranda, Manuel Texeira, visited Carabobo State accompanied by Franklin Picones, secretary of National Education of Un Nuevo Tiempo (UNT), with the aim of making adjustments for the Popular Consultation that will take place between December 5th and 12th.
“The Popular Consultation is a democratic and constitutional mechanism of participation,” said Deputy Texeira during his speech.
Both Texeira and Picones, visibly surprised, questioned the fuel shortage in Carabobo, and emphasized the need to continue fighting for freedom and democracy in the country, to reverse the harsh reality that the Carabobo people live daily in terms of derelict public services.
During the meeting were present for Carabobo, Francisco “Pancho” Pérez Lugo, secretary general of UNT Carabobo; Mauricio Pineda, secretary general of the UNT in the Libertador municipality; Luis Ortíz, regional secretary for Municipal Affairs; Orlando Pita, Political Secretary of UNT Carabobo; Eugenio Manzione, Secretary of Organization of UNT San Diego and José Zárraga, Electoral Secretary of UNT Naguanagua, among others.
It should be remembered that the questions that will be asked in the Popular Consultation are:
1) Do you demand the cessation of the usurpation of the Presidency by Nicolás Maduro and call for free, fair and verifiable presidential and parliamentary elections? Yes or no.
2) Do you reject the December 6th event organized by Nicolás Maduro’s regime and ask the international community to ignore it? Yes or no.
3) Do you order the necessary steps to be taken before the international community to activate cooperation, support and assistance that allow us to rescue our democracy, address the humanitarian crisis and protect the people from crimes against humanity? Yes or No.
