The first Vice President of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, assured that for environmental development to be sustainable in the country it is necessary to achieve the end of Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
“Those in power only seek to enrich themselves at the cost of the degradation and exploitation of natural resources in alliance with criminal groups,” Guanipa said at the first meeting of the Venezuela Green Network.
The parliamentarian for the state of Zulia explained that the ecocide orchestrated by the regime and its criminal partners has been so serious that “reversing the consequences that they have caused in environmental matters in the present, will require several generations.”
For this reason the legislator stressed that it is extremely important to achieve political change in Venezuela, which will allow taking the necessary measures to face and solve the environmental problems in the national territory.
Also, the representative of the National Assembly highlighted that Venezuela is a nation with a wide variety of rich ecosystems.
