During the morning of this Sunday, April 25th, legitimate deputies of the National Assembly, healthcare unions and the Broad Front of Women, carried out the activity called: “S.O.S. Vacunas Ya”, as part of the actions undertaken to the demand the mass entry of vaccines for a mass vaccination program and the dissemination of a transparent vaccination plan designed by experts and supervised by international organizations.
The peaceful demonstration took place at the Frente al Centro Venezolano Americano (CVA), located in Las Mercedes, Baruta municipality, where the President in Charge of the Republic of Venezuela and the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó came to support the civic protest reiterating that “Today the vaccine saves lives” and affirmed that it is the duty of every citizen to demand the right to be free, therefore, he added “that freedom is exercised together against the dictatorship.”
“The vaccine against the dictatorship to be free and live with dignity is united in the streets, demanding, mobilizing with clear demands at this time in Venezuela,” said the National President accompanied by other parliamentarians, civil society and political party representatives who joined the protest to demand vaccines against Covid-19 without restrictions or distinctions.
Deputy Gilber Caro emphasized that the right to the vaccine is a priority for all Venezuelans and is demanded in the street. In addition, he condemned “that it is not fair that some who have privileges get vaccinated today and the rest do not.”
He affirmed that his duty from the democratic struggle, as a deputy, as a Venezuelan, and an activist of a political organization, is to fight for the defense of the rights of Venezuelans.
The parliamentarian Romel Guzamana, urged the usurping regime headed by Nicolás Maduro to introduce anti-covid-19 vaccines, because there are many Venezuelan indigenous children, adults and elderly infected and deceased. In turn, he warned that there are more than 30 million Venezuelans who need to be vaccinated.
Legislator Fatima Soares, protested that political discrimination to be vaccinated must stop because Venezuelans deserve to be immunized against the coronavirus and recalled that the legitimate National Assembly approved resources to acquire more doses to save the lives of Venezuelans against this pandemic.
