The President of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, recalled that the dictator, Nicolás Maduro, betrayed the Venezuelans and sold out the nation to satisfy his interests and those of his allies.
“Maduro is a traitor to Venezuelan sovereignty and a threat to peace in the region,” he said on Sunday through his personal Twitter account.
Guaidó reiterated that several terrorist groups that make a living in Venezuela, such as the ELN, swore loyalty to Maduro and are the ones who lead the nation’s military high command.
The Colombian newspaper El Tiempo revealed a video in which one of the oldest and most powerful members of the belligerent ELN’s Eastern War Front, known as “A.K.A. Edward or Fujimori,” swears absolute loyalty to Nicolás Maduro.
In this regard, the Venezuelan ambassador to Colombia, Tomás Guanipa, denounced the links between the Colombian guerrillas and terrorism with Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
