This Wednesday the political leader Leopoldo López expressed his concern about the possible extradition from Spain to Venezuela of the Venezuelan citizen Rolando Figueroa.
“The fate of any extradited person is going to be jail, torture and probably death, as happened with Councilor Albán and Captain Acosta Arévalo,” said Lopéz in a message posted on his social network accounts.
The founder of ‘Voluntad Popular’ indicated that it would not be the first time that the dictatorship has assassinated a political prisoner.
Similarly, the Venezuelan ambassador to Spain, Antonio Ecarri, expressed his concern about the possible transfer of Figueroa to Caracas.
“It is widely known that in Venezuela there is no autonomous judiciary or guarantees for human rights in the prison system,” said Amb. Ecarri.
