The presidential commissioner for the Center of Government, Leopoldo López, highlighted the victories that Venezuela has had during this week in the different diplomatic instances where Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship has been evaluated and condemned.
“This week the democratic struggle has obtained important victories: OAS Resolution; Victory in UK Court; EU Sanctions to Human Rights Violators; UN Report and Recognition by Slovakia”, said López in a message published in Twitter.
The representative of the Legitimate Government stressed that this is due “to the teamwork that the legitimate president of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, has articulated. We continue to add support and international recognition that translates into more pressure against the dictatorship.”
“The legitimate government won the trial where the dictatorship tried to steal the Republic’s gold in the Bank of England. Enough has already been stolen, to the disgrace of millions. We must recognize the work of José Ignacio Hernández and Ricardo Villasmil in this important victory,” López said.
Furthermore, he pointed out that “the United Kingdom reaffirms its unequivocal recognition of Guaidó as the legitimate President of Venezuela, and joins the European bloc in its sanctions against corrupt individuals and human rights violators, and thanks to their collaboration we will prevent the dictatorship from stealing the gold of the Venezuelan people.
“Likewise, Slovakia joins the list of countries that recognize Guaidó as the legitimate President. The international coalition in favor of freedom and democracy for Venezuelans continues to grow. Thanks to Commissioner Julio Borges, Isadora Zubillaga and William Davila,” he added.
The head of the Government Center of the Presidency (E) of Venezuela added that to all these recognitions, “today the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights publishes a report with all the crimes and offenses committed by the dictatorship. Crimes that are not subject to the statute of limitations and that cannot be hidden. I congratulate Commissioners Miguel Pizarro and Humberto Prado for their great work”.
“Bachelet denounces that the illegitimate TSJ attempts against the possibility of building conditions for credible and democratic electoral processes by appointing new CNE presidents without the consensus of all political forces and in its decisions against AD, PJ and threatening VP,” he said.
Likewise, López recalled that “the OAS Permanent Council unanimously approved the resolution against the recent illegitimate decisions of the Maduro Supreme Court, including the appointment of CNE rectors, thanks to the work of Ambassador Gustavo Tarre.”
Finally, the representative of the interim government sent a message to all Venezuelans. “Brothers, at this time we must remain united and firm in our conviction to reach our goal: to get rid of the dictatorship and achieve freedom. Strength”.
