This Thursday the Foundation for Analysis and Social Studies (Faes) awarded the Freedom Prize to President (E) Juan Guaidó.
Before the award ceremony the president thanked the recognition and stressed that it is an award for the entire nation.
“This award honors and recognizes the struggle of the Venezuelan people who resist, insist and advance in the recovery of democracy and freedom in Venezuela,” he said through his personal Twitter account.
Likewise, the President of the National Assembly (AN), thanked Faes and its founder, former President José María Aznar.
In previous editions, this recognition has been given to personalities such as Margaret Thatcher, Mario Vargas Llosa, Enrique Krauze and the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) Luis Almagro.
