The President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, insisted on Wednesday that Nicolás Maduro and the allies of the regime fear the penalties that the International Criminal Court (ICC) may apply to them for committing crimes against humanity.
“The dictator and his entourage know of the consequences of the International Criminal Court,” he said through his personal Twitter account.
The president warned that fear led them to hold FAES officials responsible, while the regime is the intellectual author of the crimes against Venezuelans.
Guaidó recalled that the FAES is a “terror squad” that responds to the command of Maduro and his allies. He also said that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights formally asked to eliminate this armed group.
The also President of the National Assembly (AN) said that, as a consecuence of these crimes against humanity, the members of the regime are close to being in presented before justice.
“The reality is that Maduro is closer to the ICC and his entourage knows it,” he ended.
