The president in charge of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, assured this Thursday that the kidnapping of journalist Roland Carreño and now his disappearance are totalitarian practices carried out by Nicolás Maduro’s regime to annihilate Venezuela’s democratic opposition and dissent.
“The kidnapping of Roland Carreño and now his disappearance are practices of the dictatorship to annihilate the democratic alternative as indicated by the UN Mission,” Guaidó declared through a message on his official Twitter account.
Furthermore, the Venezuelan head of state stressed that “members of the regime are accused of committing crimes against humanity.”
“We have resisted this as a society,” he ended.
