The President in Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, reiterated the urgency of the entry of vaccines against COVID-19 to face an unprecedented increase in infections in the national territory.
“Even in its manipulated figures, the dictatorship has had to acknowledge the higher number of new infections of Covid-19,” said the head of state in a message released through his Twitter account.
Similarly, President (e) Guaidó indicated that “This must stop! The introduction of the vaccine and a serious vaccination plan that allows saving lives is urgent.”
“We find ourselves in a difficult sanitary condition that becomes more complicated due to the irresponsibility and pride of the dictatorship. We all have a family member or friend who is infected and that reflects the reality of the pandemic today,” he added.
The head of state urged Venezuelans to take extreme healthcare measures to stop the spread of the virus.
“Our responsibility as Venezuelans is the measure we have at this time to contain the pandemic. If you take care of yourself, you take care of yours. If you take care of yourself, you take care of our healthcare workers. Use of masks, wash hands and physical distancing,” he insisted.
“We are going to continue putting every effort we can, as we already did with the Héroes de la Salud bonus, the agreement with PAHO and the steps taken for Venezuela to join COVAX,” he added.

Finally, President in Charge Juan Guaidó gave a new update on his health status after contracting COVID-19.
“I continue in my process of recovery from Covid-19 following the medical indications and taking the necessary rest,” he said.
“It is important that we reinforce prevention measures and it is urgent that we get a vaccine in Venezuela. Yes we can defeat the pandemic and the emergency.”
