The President of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, reiterated that the regime of Nicolás Maduro is responsible for the deepening of the crisis caused by the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic to the country.
“Nicolás Maduro is responsible for his mishandling of the pandemic and the consequences on our people,” he insisted this Monday through his personal Twitter account.
He also said that the dictatorship has been cynical about the suffering of the Venezuelan people and has humiliated citizens who try to enter the country by calling them “biological weapons”. He denounced that the dictatorship hides figures and has used the coronavirus as an excuse to persecute those who return to the country.
Guaidó recalled that it is important for Venezuela to know about the report published by the Commissioner for the Health Emergency and Migrant Health Care, José Manuel Olivares, in which he details the collapse of the hospitals and the reason why Venezuela has the highest mortality rate in Latin America.
The president added that it is necessary to open a channel with the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) and that the monetary contribution that the Legitimate Government will give to the Venezuelan doctors registered in the “Heroes of Health” program is very important.
“Venezuela needs much more. Only a National Emergency Government that has confidence and support will be able to achieve real solutions,” he ended.
“Venezuela necesita mucho más. Solo un Gobierno de Emergencia Nacional que tenga confianza y respaldo podrá lograr soluciones reales”, concluyó.
Es importante que el país conozca la información que ha dado a conocer el Comisionado @joseolivaresm sobre la situación de la pandemia en el país: el colapso de nuestros hospitales y que tenemos la tasa de mortalidad de personal de salud más alta en Latinoamérica. https://t.co/QVpFvL3aww
