In Venezuela there is no coherent vaccination plan for Venezuelans, they die without guarantees or protection from the State not only from Covid-19 but from any other disease caudsed by the shortage of medical supplies and medicines.
The inhabitants of Aragua State have denounced the collapse of the Corposalud headquarters where anti-covid vaccines are given to the people.
Luis Mariñez, resident of Maracay, denounced that he took a family member very early last Sunday morning and only a small percentage of the people who received the text message were treated in an organized manner and after two in the afternoon still they had not been let in.
Mrs. Luisa Maria Romaria, 78 years old in a wheelchair, assured that it took more than three and a half hours to be able to get the corresponding dose of the vaccine.
“We arrived at one in the afternoon and even though a rainstorm fell on us and they told us that they had closed the process and were scheduled for two in the afternoon,” said the citizen who also suffers from kidney disease.
On the other hand, they assured that many Venezuelans who were summoned to that headquarters, were sent away and ‘bounced off’. However, the elderly were cared for under pressure from their families.
Even though the vaccination process has not stopped, there are those who denounced a lot of disorganization in the process, a situation that keeps people in tension since there are many disabled and in poor health, who have to queue under precarious conditions, without food or hydration.
