The president of the Caracas College of Nurses, Ana Rosario Contreras, urged the country’s healthcare workers to raise their voices until they are massively vaccinated against COVID-19.
“The Venezuelan Nursing College has been warning of the collapse of the healthcare system, today there is no way to hide it, the Pandemic puts it in evidence taking valuable lives,” said Contreras in a message published through her Twitter account .
The union leader insisted that “it is time to understand that we are a social asset with rights, duties and a commitment to demand.”
“The Right to life is transversal, all Venezuelans are under threat due to the aggressiveness, rapidity of contagion and lethality of the PI variant,” she said.
Furthermore, Contreras indicated that “it is important that together we raise our voice demanding Mass Vaccination Now, we are invested with sovereignty to demand our right.”
