This Saturday President (E) Juan Guaidó installed the ‘Comandos por la Libertad y Elecciones Libres’ throughout the country in a meeting with the goal of working for the consultation approved this week by the National Assembly. The members of these Comandos were called to the national day of protest this Monday, October 5th in support of the teachers.
The Secretary General of Copei (Cristian Democratic Party), Robert García, and the members of the national leadership of this party, Rogelio Díaz, Sting Jofre, Francisco García and Mario Acosta, were present at the meeting. The President (E) emphasized the importance of the active role of the international community and the Venezuelans to disregard the electoral farce that Nicolás Maduro’s regime intends to perpetrate on December 6th: “The strategy and international support continues to be strengthened, but each Venezuelan must understand that we have an individual responsibility to continue fighting, and that is why it is a duty to participate in the binding consultation that was approved.”
Juan Guaidó also assured that the regime is destroyed, isolated, and without proposals, for which he called for unity in this historic moment. “Today the Comandos for Freedom are activated for the future of our children. All those who are part of them have three main functions: one, to explain to the country what is a fraud and why we should not participate, we cannot think that everyone knows; two, to support the people in their protests; and three, to spread the UN Report, to fight for free, fair and verifiable presidential and parliamentary elections”.
The Secretary General of Copei, Robert García, assured that Copei will be part at all levels of the ‘Comandos por la Libertad’: “national, regional, municipal, and parish, organized to fight day by day for the success of the strategy proposed and to achieve free presidential and legislative elections.”
