The president of the NGO Foro Penal, Alfredo Romero, reported on Tuesday the new balance of the number of political prisoners maintained by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship in Venezuela.
According to the NGO report, there are 351 prisoners of conscience held in the dungeons of the regime.
Among those kidnapped for political reasons, there are 325 men, 26 women, of whom 227 are civilians, 124 military and 13 indigenous.
In addition, the report highlights the presence of 349 adults and two minors deprived of liberty.
Finally, the NGO Foro Penal stressed that 9000 people are still subject to arbitrary criminal proceedings for political reasons, under precautionary measures.
