The governor of Anzoátegui State, Antonio Barreto Sira, condemned the attack by Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) officers on citizens who were queuing to refuel at a gas station in Barcelona.
The regional governor said that after the incident “a producer died and another citizen was injured for protesting alleged irregularities in the management of service stations.”
“In Anzoátegui, yesterday, was ended the life of a citizen who was asking for equity in order to fill up with fuel,” added Barreto Sira.
Likewise, the Governor highlighted that what happened in the municipality of Aragua de Barcelona, once again demonstrated the crisis that Venezuelans are going through due to the lack of gasoline.
“All Venezuela knows who the owners of the gasoline party are,” he added.
Finally, the governor of Anzoátegui State repudiated the fact and demanded justice.
“Correctives must be applied at service stations to avoid tragedies,” he ended.
