Officials of the Nicolás Maduro dictatorship deployed this Saturday around the residence of Tadeo Rada, brother of former councilor Edmundo “Pipo Rada”, who was tortured and killed by the Venezuelan regime in 2019, with the aim of intimidating the leader of Voluntad Popular.

“The harassment and persecution against our organization and the country’s democratic forces by Maduro’s regime continues. SEBIN henchmen appeared at the house of our brother and leader of Voluntad Popular in Sucre, Tadeo Rada, for no reason.” denounced the Voluntad Popular party in a message broadcast through its Twitter account.

The political organization recalled that: “Tadeo Rada is a social leader, a popular fighter for Petare and brother of Edmundo ‘Pipo’ Rada, assassinated by the dictatorship.”

“Once again they harass and intimidate this family that has already suffered enough and whose only crime has been to fight for a better Venezuela,” they stated.

For this reason, the VP party called on the international community and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michellle Bachelet, to denounce the criminal repression that the dictatorship continues to exercise in Venezuela.

“We must raise our voices against all these injustices!”, They stated.
